Goukon Anyone?

There might have been no sightings of Shin in the last 2 Chapters of this volume, but he comes back with a vengeance in this Gokuken chapter. Read as Fuji convinces Shin to join him and his dog friends as they go about town trying to win the ladies' affection.

And who says only humans can have group dates?

If you were to given the chance to name a breed of dog, what name would you come up with?

Gender Issues...

The arc that started with a love letter, turned into a serious (?) one dealing with the topic of sexual orientation. Too bad there is no Shin *sobs*.

And nope. I still CANNOT like Miura. I like Kaw(m)ata though not to the same degree as I love Masumi-chan of Nodame. (Shout out to Durach for pointing that out.)

I would LOVE to send a rabu letter to Shin too! I'll probably say I love him, but that I'd like it more if he were to be with Yankumi. I'll end it with a Gambare! to cheer him on as he struggles to get his feelings across to his dense-sensei.

How about you? What would your rabu letter contain and who would you address it to in the Gokusen world?

As you think on that, please enjoy this release.

P.S. See Shin's reaction to Yankumi taking his name in vain. :D

New Oneshot: Deatta Toki ni Boku Wa Mou Inai (Shimaki Ako)

Somebody slipped us happy pills. And it shows.

Not that we're tired of Gokusen or anything, but we just thought it was high time to give you some other bishounen as well. So here's one from Shimaki Ako, who never fails to disappoint us as far as pretty boys -- and unconventional and slightly smutty shoujo plots -- are concerned. In Deatta Toki, high school student Yuu finds herself pursued by a hot guy rather, uh... spiritedly.

This oneshot is the final chapter in Shimaki Ako's collection Suki ni Naru Made Matte (Please Wait Until I Fall in Love). It was originally a project of Tenshi-Tachi, who passed it on to ETC, who in turn allowed us do the chapter. Other groups have done the other stories found in this volume, so it won't be too hard to find copies of those chapters around. More yummy bishounen goodness for everyone.

When we picked up Gokusen last year, little did we expect that we'd be taking on other projects as well. But, yeah, well... here we are. ^^; We just hope you enjoy our first foray into shoujo manga scans.

(EDIT: Links fixed. Pretty boy ready for download.)

Stallion??!

No folks. You aren't imagining things. We have a new release for you. :D

Here is the unbelievable conclusion to the Abe Test. You'll soon know what's the significance of the title of the post. And nope. It isn't because Shin comes riding to Yankumi's rescue astride a white stallion. Which is a shame really.

Just a brief cultural note from Nagi regarding Yankumi's song: The "Samurai Spirit" is composed of Giri (morals/obligations) and Ninjou (human feelings/empathy). This ideology dates back to the Kamakura period (the beginning of the shogunate in 1192). Although the Japanese at present still have the "Samurai Spirit", it is said that only the yakuza actually live by it.

The Abe Test begins

Long time readers know enough to brace themselves whenever Yankumi gets that glint in her eyes and when she's about to launch another of her harebrained plans. See what she gets up to in this newest installment of Gokusen.
